The town of Stamsried is situated about 9 kilometres north of Roding. Visit the market place with its Baroque column, built in 1729, and the Stamsried Palace, which dates back to 1342. Athletic guests can choose among countless activities in the area, while nature enthusiasts will love the botanical exploration path. Alternatively, go on a scenic hike to the ruins of Kürnburg castle with its look-out tower. Built in 1355, the castle used to be one of the largest in the Upper Palatinate region. Schwarzenberg Castle is also well worth a visit.
